Carolyn Johnson, St. Francis de Sales
From Jackie Prince, librarian at Holy Cross Elementary: "As a new librarian, I have found Library Sparks magazine (also online at http://www.librarysparks.com/) to be an invaluable resource for ideas, activities and books."
Anne Sprout, librarian at St. Bernadette, says :"I have used a website called Enchanted Learning for wonderful information on teaching newspaper skills and book genres. They have great worksheets and comprehension quizzes. The website is: http://www.enchantedlearning.com/Home.html. It is $20.00 a year to join."
Mary Quattlebaum, Children's Author, Instructor, and Reviewer suggests:
"How about Elizabeth Bird's blog for School Library Journal -- http://www.schoollibraryjournal.com/blog/1790000379.html. As a kids' author, I enjoy Ms. Bird's witty and insightful take on all sorts of children's books. And since she herself is a librarian, other librarians seem to find her blog helpful, too."
Sue Ann Norian, librarian at St. Ann's Academy, recommends a series titled, Complete Library Skills, which can be found at:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_b/104-9868412-0203129?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords

Cristina Dal Molin, librarian at St. John the Baptist School, has found these websites useful in teaching students. Here's what she says:
"I have used these as indicated:
To download (save as…) OCLC PowerPoint presentations about the Dewey Decimal System for kids (used with 3rd and 4th graders) and there is one for adults too:
http://www.oclc.org/dewey/resources/public.htm
A copyright for kids site:
http://www.copyrightkids.org/
A PowerPoint presentation about plagiarism, for use with children—followed by a section for teachers (I used this to make sure I covered the aspects I wanted to cover when I discussed with students.and/or teachers):
http://www.sdst.org/shs/library/powerpoint/plagiarism.ppt."
Gail Roddy, librarian at Our Lady of Mercy School, sent these ideas:
"Some of the material I use include:
