In our New Year: Call for volunteers
In the upcoming months, I will be working with See Forever Foundation to help build a library at Oak Hill Academy - a D.C. juvenile detention facility located in Laurel, Md. The initial work is being done by Georgetown undergraduates and other social service organizations, but they could really use the help of trained librarians. It is a wonderful way for our catholic librarians to promote social justice by providing a library for these youth. If you are interested, please contact me via e-mail regarding this project at tinahudak@gmail.com.
