Some administrators, teachers and yes!, even librarians, who do not see our job as a combination of using technology well as a tool, and teaching a love a reading, would do well to read this article. The novel may have contributed to saving his life, and the technology allowed people to respond to his plight immediately, and for us, allows this story to be shared world-wide, via the Internet, blogs, e-mail etc. to encourage the value of reading literature.
