C3 Conference University of Maryland

October 6-8

In the past years, ETO-UMCP has sponsored a C3 Conference (Cybersafety, Cyberethics and Cybersafety) for the local area--usually held in the spring or summer. This year we have been asked to move the conference up from the scheduled summer 2006 to October 6-8, 2005 to be part of the new National Cyber Security Month initiative, a new National initiative scheduled for the month of October. We are particularly excited about this conference as it has been expanded with support from NSF, the National Cybersecurity Alliance (NCSA), Educause, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NetSmartz), Microsoft, and speakers from iSafe, the Socrates Institute, and the Federal Trade Commission.
