St. Bernard's Library Lives on in other Catholic Schools

As many of you already know, St. Bernard's in Riverdale, Maryland has closed. The library was an exceptional one due to the wonderful work of Tina Hudak during her years there. I had the privilege of being librarian there for two and one half years.
I am happy to report that the books and other resources have been given to other area Catholic Schools -- my school, St. Francis de Sales, St. Anthony's, St. Gabriel's, St. Ambrose, and St. Mathias. Tina, the awesome collection you put together will continue to be enjoyed by children for years to come!

First of all, I am sooo happy that you posted! Secondly, thank you for your kinds words. It was the perfect position for me, at the perfect time in my life. Despite the painful leave-taking, I was so pleased to know that someone of your caliber and empathy re-opened the library doors and served the community of children.

This parish school is a great loss to the faithful immigrant Catholics who live and worship in that area.
